Darin Austin is an experienced professional with over three decades in the insurance industry. His journey began in 1995 when he joined the family insurance agency in Benton, Kentucky, where he honed his skills and built a strong foundation in the field. In 1998, Darin took the next step in his career by purchasing Lyon County Insurance in Eddyville, Kentucky, and successfully managing that office for eight years until 2006.
After leaving Eddyville, Darin came back to Austin Insurance in Benton. Always looking for new opportunities to expand his knowledge and expertise, Darin ventured into the specialized field of trucking insurance in 2014, starting his own agency. Through his dedication and commitment, he earned a designation as a Transportation Risk Specialist from MCIEF.org, a testament to his proficiency and professionalism in the industry.
In 2024, Darin decided to sell Austin Insurance to Jared Morgan of Benton, Kentucky and rebranded the Benton office to Benton Insurance. This transition allowed him to focus on other interests, including his love for golf. Most weekends, you will find Darin on the golf course in Western Kentucky, enjoying a round with friends and colleagues.
Despite his busy schedule, Darin always makes time for his family. He is the proud father of a daughter who is a nurse at St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. Darin is also known for his friendly and welcoming demeanor, evident by his golden retriever, Chaco, who greets clients at the Benton office, making it a warm and inviting place for all who visit.
