Jared started in the family insurance business in 2004 after two years serving in youth ministry. He worked at Bradshaw & Weil for 12 years specializing in church insurance written with Brotherhood Mutual Insurance Company. Jared was a founding partner in American Church Group of Kentucky in 2016. American Church Group rebranded to Lightwell Insurance Advisors of in 2024. Lightwell Insurance Advisors of AL/KY/TN serves religious non-profit ministries in Kentucky, Tennessee, and Alabama. Benton Insurance Agency services Lightwell AL/KY/TN clients who are serviced from the Paducah Branch.

Jared and Phillip amicably separated from Bradshaw & Weil in 2018 to found Benton Insurance. With Phillip’s retirement in 2023, Jared became the Managing Partner of Benton Insurance while continuing to handle and write new accounts for both Benton Insurance and Lightwell Insurance Advisors. With the organic growth of Benton Insurance, the agency was able to acquire or merge with four other agencies in the area. This led to the creation of Benton Insurance as a second location.

Jared loves working with businesses to solve problems through creative solutions. Many of Jared’s clients are entrepreneurial business owners who hustle every day to build something great. He also appreciates the positive force for good that insurance provides…when the worst happens, a properly designed insurance program puts people back where they were.
